Blow Down Evaporators
Arctic White blow-down evaporators use directed streams of nitrogen gas to rapidly concentrate or dry samples in microplates and tubes — a critical step in ADME studies, pharmacokinetic sample preparation, natural product isolation, and any workflow requiring solvent removal prior to reconstitution or analysis. Nitrogen blow-down is faster, gentler, and more reproducible than traditional open-air evaporation, and eliminates the cross-contamination risk of shared evaporation equipment.
The MiniVap and MiniVap Gemini are compact bench-top nitrogen evaporators designed for 96-well plate and tube formats, with individually controlled gas needles that deliver consistent flow across every well position. The Gemini configuration allows simultaneous processing of two plate positions, doubling throughput without increasing bench footprint. The UltraVap Mistral and UltraVap Levante scale up to higher capacity with enhanced flow control and compatibility with a wider range of vessel formats, from microplates to larger tubes and vials.
All models support heated gas delivery to accelerate solvent evaporation without sample degradation. Temperature and flow rate are individually adjustable per position, ensuring uniform concentration across all wells — a key requirement for quantitative assays where residual solvent variation would introduce measurement error. Compatible with standard 96-well deep well plates and most common tube formats.
